Buddy's Pizza

Respectively, some foods sit alone on the top in their genre. When it comes to Buddy’s Pizza, Detroit has a champion in the category of pizza pies. Known for their squared shape pies, Buddy’s has been celebrated and visited by locals and guest for over 60 years. Available in various locations of Michigan, I had the chance to eat there with my family on my trip to see the Detroit Tigers on their homestand.

After the game, we walked over to dine at Buddy’s to check out the hype. Stylish and cozy, Buddy’s wasn’t too busy so we sat wherever. Waitress was pleasant and offered us a menu with all the trimmings of dishes, appetizers and pizza pie options. We kept it simple: a Regular pie, a pie with pepperoni and 2 orders or wings. The wings were very good and I remember saying “save room for the pizza”.

The two pies that came out of the heaven was hands down some of the BEST PIZZA I have ever eaten. Step aside the square style of pizza and the fact that I’m a proud Pizza eating new yorker, this pizza delivered.

A Square, thin crust pie, slightly oily, perfect cheese blend and just overall extremely delicious, I gave this pizza a 9.5 on impact. A 10 would mean a perfect pizza however if I made it back, I’d be curious to see if I felt the same. Just a slice heaven. Buddy’s is nothing short of spectacular.
